The Many Uses for Lanyards
Countless schools,
businesses, government agencies, organizations, and hospitals use
lanyards to secure name badges. However, the main propose lanyards are
for identification and promotion.
Lanyards have been called neck strap,
security strap, identification straps, or identification cords. You can
go on the Internet and find custom made lanyards with corporate or
organization’s unique messages or logos, along with their special
designs, specifications, and color scheme. In addition, lanyards are
also available made with semi-precious stones, crystals, lamp work, as
well as hand carved wooden beads. There are so many different styles and
designs of lanyards available that this is evidence of their popularity.
For many individuals we attach our work identification, or school
identification to wear around our neck. The advantages of this is that
our identification or item we need is hand and available yet securely
out of our way. For the corporation I work for, we are constantly
swiping our access cards in order to enter or leave a particular area of
the building, if we had to constantly look for our access cards, we
would be wasting valuable time every day. By having them attached to a
lanyard, keeps them readily available.

phone holders, or even a water bottle, pen, or flashlight.

color scheme does provide a great impact, simply because they are used
in combination with different, and common items your company’s message
will be seen by many people. Proof of this occurred when a parent handed
out his company’s lanyards at my child’s school for the kids to use for
their ID cards. The company I work for was in need of the service that
this parent’s company offered. Because of that lanyard, we now do
business with this company and are extremely pleased.
Lanyards come in countless different styles, from the simple blank metal
ball chain, cotton or nylon cloth lanyards that are available in
different colors with the more popular being the custom printed
lanyards. You can even find beautiful beaded lanyards that some are just
too gorgeous to attach anything. Lanyards are an expensive way of
advertising your company’s product, or messages.
